I am an ecologist currently working in the renewable energy field with a focus on environmental permitting. I have a BS in Biology and am currently studying for a MS in Environmental Science, both at Florida Atlantic University. Previous work experience includes metrology, weights and measures, FIFRA inspection and enforcement.

My interests of study include human-environmental interactions, specifically focusing on how we can better understand how humans can positively impact their local ecosystems (e.g., biophilic urbanism, habitat restoration and creation). I am also interested in citizen science and scientific education, working to engage the non-scientific community to be more involved in their local ecosystems for positive change. I am currently attempting to learn more about wetland science and to better understanding soil science.

I will be cataloging interesting observations I make around my community and while in natural areas, with a specific focus on rare or protected species when possible.

I am also currently working on a small side project to document listed species within my neighborhood to track their use of the human-created landscapes over time. I am currently documenting mostly wading birds (e.g., little blue heron, tricolored heron, wood stork, etc.) in my community stormwater pond as well as species like gopher tortoise as they inhabit the area surrounding my community.
