My background is in physical sciences, but in the early 2000s I developed an interest in botany and taxonomy. I enjoy finding plant species new to me, whether in the Midwest or areas of the U.S. more distant from me, and observing their relationships within the overall botanical taxonomic framework. I also enjoy photography and serve as the current editor of Missouriplants.com. Perhaps someday I'll even learn how to control the camera on my phone.
