A birder at heart, I worked as a bird tour guide for much of my life. Have also been quite interested in Odonata for the past 25 years. Now, in semi-retirement, I'm enjoying living as a hermit with as low of a carbon footprint as possible, photographing and getting to know a bit about a wide spectrum of insects, plants, fungi, etc., mainly in my yard in southeastern New Brunswick (Canada) or within a very few kilometers. Most recent obsessions are the moths in my yard where I have photographed in excess of 1050 species, leafhoppers that are attracted to my moth lights, and fungi of the local woodlands.
