We have been operating a small sustainable family farm, Wild Scallions Farm, for the last 15 years growing a diversified mix of crops and cultivating a passion for a holistic approach that preserves insect habitat. I firmly believe that agriculture can both support our livelihood, provide food and flowers to our community, and help preserve insect diversity. We joined iNaturalist to learn more about the insects we observe and to document the diversity of life found on our farm. I have an especial passion for native bees, wasps, hover flies, beetles and others that we see on the flowers and crops we grow. Really the more I learn the more I love it all. And my daughter has joined the project!
