08/28/17
Time: 3:39 PM
Climate: Mostly sunny, very hot/dry, no wind
Habitat: Low brushes, cacti, grass, dirt, at the base of a mountain
Discovery: Skat

I made a trip to Cedar Canyon Nature Park to familiarize myself with the area and possible mammalian inhabitants along with my lab group. Crucial aspects of inspecting nature were noted such as: skat, location, foilage, etc. in order to gain an understanding of what goes into documentation of a mammal's presence. iNaturalist was also experimented with and talked about, as well as discussing important ideas for teaching and interacting with the youth whom will be joining future excursions.
