Lifers of Summer 2023
These are the bird lifers I've seen since May. Some of these birds (like Spotted Towhee) I've seen in other places but were still new for my Alberta life list so I'm counting them as well.

I had to stop myself from squealing when I saw a Lark sparrow super close. One of the prettiest sparrows, and very fun to watch.

the photos are horrible but you can kind of piece together the bird from them. We noticed it flying along the forest floor which was covered in dense vegetation. It wasn't too photogenic but it was about to show itself when a bunch of people passed by and it flew. I'm pretty sure on the id.
