Join our Bee-O-Blitzes in Three BC Parks!

Hello to all the naturalists who have been contributing to the BC Bee Tracker Project. Thank you so much for all your observations! We just wanted to let you know we are doing a pilot project this summer in three BC Parks, including iNaturalist projects and guided bee walks in each park. We would really like to see your observations all summer long from the three parks and it would be wonderful to meet you in person on one of our bee walks. If you want to encourage more people to post their bees in iNat, we have created this handy guide:

We’ve also created a series of bee BINGO Cards you can download and print out and we’ll be handing them out on our bee walks. One of the bumble bees we’d like you to keep an eye out for is the western bumble bee (Bombus occidentalis). One of our BINGO cards shows you some of the colour variations in that species and other bees that might resemble western bumble bees.
