Also- if anyone knows how to describe a 15 mile diameter circle for a place in iNat, I need your assistance. Then I can set up projects for each count.

re: 15 mile diameter places, as I'm sure you know, you'll need to generate a circle as a .kml file to upload to your newly defined place. You'll need lat/lon for the center of the circle.

There are a few tools that do this automatically if you supply the lat/lon, such as: https://www.scottmurray.me/kml/circle/index.php

If I recall correctly, KML "circles" end up being approximations of a circle since KML deals with straight lines/polygons. Kind of like as you go from a square to a pentagon to a hexagon to an octagon you get closer and closer to a circle. So these tools create shapes that have like 200 sides.
