Maintenant ça vaut tellement rien ces deux "formes", la formation de bulbilles dépend seulement de la photo période et de la température. Il y a des pop mixte, des individus mixtes.. (et ce sur plein d'espèces de Poa d'ailleurs.).
Pour moi c'est du même niveau que reconnaitre des "f. tortuosa" pour les hêtres sulbapins par exemple ou des "f. rubra" pour D. sambucina. Du coup j'avoue que je pensais qu'il y avait un consensus global là dessus, plus personne en W Europe n'acceptent ces infra (E+M, anglais, espagnols, suisses, italiens et je me suis arrêté là) sauf la France, parce que la FG1 l'acceptait (suffit de voir la note de la FG 1 et connaitre JMT pour deviner ce qu'il en pense aujourdhui)
Les deux infra qui émergent sont aujourd'hui
Poa bulbosa L. subsp. bulbosa
et Poa bulbosa L. subsp. pseudoconcinna (Schur) Asch. & Graebn.
That's a bummer and should not have been merged. North American floras recognize two taxa here and there is a value in having this taxa to follow introductions. In New York collections are only known for plants that have been identified as "vivipara" but tracking occasional "bulbosa" to identify potential secondary introductions or test hypothesis about seed reversion could be valuable. Sitting at subspecies wasn't doing any harm at least until a full revision was ready and agreed upon.
Drafts and flags are not visible to the vast majority of users, and there are plenty of folks who take 24 hour breaks only to see that there identifications and observations now contain less data. Merges that lose identification information should go slow and consider global users.
@ddubois2 : where Kilian is right is that viviparous or not is not a taxonomy on Poa bulbosa, but a biological process stimulated by environment (from my experience, dry years and/or dry locations are favorable to not germinating seed dispersion). Nevertheless, at formal rank, if people want to distinguish, it's not annoying for anyone and for that it would have been better to keep both taxa...
Kelian, c'est toujours dommage une fusion sans avoir consulté la communauté avant. Il aurait fallu faire un brouillon et laisser les gens réagir... Maintenant c'est techniquement très difficile d'annuler et c'est une grande perte d'information si on voulait cartographier ou illustrer distinctement les formes vivipares et les formes non vivipares. A moins que ce ne fussent des fiches vides, sans aucune observation, était-ce le cas ?
