It is important to point out the Crocodylus halli has not been formally accepted as a species yet. The IUCN Crocodile Specialist Group has stated that further evidence is required. As of now, this remains Crocodylus novaeguineae, though it MAY change in the future. For now, there are 26 crocodilian species.
