This Tobacco Hornworm was brought to our classroom to share with classmates.
After a few days of vigorously eating tomato leaves, it turned sluggish. Mid-morning we noticed these white wiggly worms appearing on its body. With in a few hours the caterpillar was covered with spun cotton cocoons. Within a few days, tiny wasps appeared.

Drama. These guys all normally get along pretty well, but here a squirrel decided to start something and nearly got kicked in the head as reward. Moments later they were back to munching sunflower seeds side-by-side again.

This little guy landed onboard a yacht at sea. Exhausted. He soon disappeared and, not surprisingly, was never seen again. The position indicated is quite accurate. I'm trying to recover my old logbook to verify the exact position, but it certainly was not far from this position

Date is approximate. 3 individuals (2 males & 1 female) seen sometime in April, 1987. My mother and father (@dmpeterson ) were living in Monteverde in the spring of 1987, staying with the Gavin family. I have been digitizing their old slides, and thought these ones were significant, so I uploaded them. The date and location are approximate, based on their best recollection.
