Description

Una especie bastante común en a región de observación. Su patrón de coloración varia bastante pero el patrón mas identificador de la especies es su gris oscuro general y manchas amarilla o rojisas sobre las escamas del dorso, perceptibles o no; cuando son adultos estas manchas son bien diferenciadas. El ejemplar en la foto midió 1.5 metros, cerca de 22-23 hileras de escamas al medio cuerpo. Bastante melánico pero con fondo oculto de puntos o bandas rojizos.

A fairly common species in a region of observation. Its color pattern varies widely but the pattern more species identifier is its generally dark gray and yellow or reddish spots on the scales of the back, noticeable or not, as adults these spots are distinct.The specimen in the photo measured 1.5 meters, about 22-23 rows of scales to the middle body. Pretty melanic but with hidden background of spots or irregular reddish bands.

Male highland anole in full display of its gular pouch. They usually do this to scare away rivals from their territory, to make an impression on a nearby female or when they are irritated; in this case he was not happy to be pointed at with the camera.
