Growing wild, loves the loosely packed dead leaves, the roots are mostly above ground and below the leaves. The salmonberries are doing very well this year, going toe-to-toe with the Himalayan blackberries. We had an almost normal winter and spring as far as rainfall (it's been very dry the prior two years+).
