@stevecollins - with camera today (on my way back from a quick GCFL chase!)
With Shelley Rutkin, whom I had not met previously (we have been iNat messaging). Our third and final stop was to "the knoll" along the west side of 3 Bridges Road at its junction with Thunder's Crossing Road. Don Fraser found a Fuller's Flower Moth here yesterday, so I was eager to look for it. I did not record the weather but it was partly sunny and humid. We found two Fuller's Flower Moths (the Coastal Plain Honeycombhead is just starting to bloom), plus mating robber flies. We left here at 1509 and headed home.
I love how the male has his "paws" on the female's eyes!
