I enjoy studying local ecosystems and calculating species richness and diversity. I've developed a keen interest in photographing the small organisms within these ecosystems that play big roles (fungi, mosses, lichens & other bryophytes).

My first love will always be the ocean. I'm currently attending Unity Environmental University online; majoring in Marine Biology & Sustainable Aquaculture, with a minor in Wildlife Conservation & Management, and concentrations in Wildlife Ecology and Geospatial Technology.

My ultimate career goal is to research ocean acidification in the Gulf of Mexico. I'd love to study how bivalves, corals, and zooplankton are affected by the gradual decrease of pH in this region.
