I'm fascinated by all forms of biodiversity, but mostly I mostly study the taxonomy, biogeography, and ecology of macrofungi, particularly of California and to a lesser degree the Sky Islands of the southwest USA.

With the barely-granted exception of fungi, I plead that my identifications be viewed with the presumption of ignorance...
