SA iNaturalists - October 2020 Update


In SA this October we saw 9,905 observations, an average rate of 319 observations per day. We saw the highest ever number of species observed in SA at 2,117, an even higher number than was seen last month which included the GSB. There were 216 species receiving their first iNat record in SA. All this from a 389 different observers for the month, the second highest number of observers in any month to date. To those observations were added 16,728 identifications from 499 different identifiers.
Uploads for SA now stand at 148,067 observations of 6,848 species from 2,472 observers, with 3,059 identifiers providing 271,954 identifications.
